I didn’t know what to think when I went with this brand. You get a set of four brake pads, which is cheaper than some of the well known brands. No regrets! It works amazingly and the stopping power is great. Very easy to install. I did have some issues the first time and thought maybe the brakes were the issue but it was actually the braking mechanism. After some tweaking, they now make a full stop.

Retired WWII Aircraft Restoration Tech, where other hobby is restoring old bikes. The 20 year old Huffy was in rough shape, to where a couple long days with cordless Dremel, restored the spokes, rims, and paint to fully 90% restored new look.Adding mirror, rack & insulated cargobags, the grocery runs are now flawless venture, vs plastic bags tied to handle bars, making mission difficult. The rear brakes for this case, the pads are so critical on very steep downhill run for 2.5 blocks into village. The standrd original pads hardened by age, squealed the entire run down the hill very extreme. Braking effort needed more surface contact.Stopped at local bike shop, spent $20 on new pads they suggested, and the new compound might be Nytrile vs Rubber, barely gripped the steel rims at all, darn scary.Found these 2-3/4″ pads, and arrived today, what a nice controlled silent run down hill. Never needing front brakes to assist, and not advised, but gentle.Keep front pads standard for safe braking control – all crashing is front wheel sudden lock up.I’d like to see this Pad made slightly more full face to match face of the steel Rim contact, vs it’s trimmed profile. But it’s the best option for general, & down hill riding. One very cool engineering concept that will be missed by everyone, are the matching special cone faced washers included. These should be included for all pads.At final setting of pads when held tight against rims, now tighten nut, and this will make sure face of pads hit square to the rim’s face.I used standard 5mm nut/10mm socket, vs the Allen headed nut for my C brake levers.Cheers

Grip fine, easy to install, well built. However, they are designed for a smaller wheel. A standard adult bike uses a 26″ tire, the radius on these are much tighter. These will fit in the rim of a 26″ wheel, but they are a touch odd as they have a curve that doesn’t jive with a full size 26″ or larger rim. Would be great for 20″ rims.

I’m pretty impressed with these brake shoes. Work great on my road bike V-brakes.Take your time installing and take photos of your current brakes before taking them apart as there are many little parts. It’s a little softer stop but they grab the rims solid, no issues. Can’t speak to longevity yet, but a good buy

These are probably less than 1/4 what you’d pay for pads at a bike shop for similar quality. They seem to be great pads so far. Installation was a breeze as I’ve done this dozens of times. Each brake pad is marked FRONT, above that is an arrow. You’ll have two for the right side and two for the left side (2 pairs). Make sure and orient the pads with arrows pointing to the FRONT of the bike. Someone felt cheated because he got all “front” pads and no “rear” ones. (Wow.) They do seem to be pretty squeak and squeal free, even if improperly adjusted. For that alone I think they’d be good for someone that hasn’t done this much. No idea how long they will last, but like I said….. The price is ridiculously good and they stop very well. Consult with my Colleagues at Utube University for guidance if needed.

I purchased the Hapleby 4PCS Premium Bike Brake Pads for my mountain bike, lured in by the product description that seemed to promise super high quality. After installation and several rides, here’s my take on these brake pads:**Pros:**1. **Decent Performance**: These brake pads are okay. They’re likely better than what a standard bike shop might install but don’t expect them to be extraordinary.2. **Quiet Operation**: As advertised, the brake pads do not produce noise during use. This is a definite plus, as noisy brakes can be irritating during a ride.**Cons:**1. **Overpriced**: In my opinion, these brake pads are overpriced for what they offer. The quality is decent but not exceptional, so the cost doesn’t seem justified.2. **Quantity Concerns**: Considering the price and the fact that one might need to replace these yearly or even sooner depending on mileage, I think they should ship with six pads instead of four.**Conclusion:**The Hapleby 4PCS Premium Bike Brake Pads are an acceptable choice if you’re looking for a modest upgrade from standard bike shop offerings. They provide a noise-free experience, which is a nice feature. However, the value for the price is somewhat lacking. If you’re looking for true premium quality, you might be slightly disappointed, but for general use, these brake pads are likely to serve you well. The overpricing and quantity are drawbacks to consider, especially if you’re planning on regular replacements. All in all, they are adequate but don’t fully live up to the hype.

This is four hard plastic/rubber brake pads for mountain bikes or some BMX. It is a rather standard size and fits into the calipers with a simple twist of the included Allen wrench.Overall the brakes do their simple job well. They have a little softness to them which allows you to break firmly when you need and not jerk forward too fast. They are completely silent and they blend in perfectly with compatible bikes. They fit all three of the bikes that we have here, and I am pretty sure it is a standard size for this type of brake.
