I was recently given an indoor bike trainer. my bike only needed the right skewer to fit that stand. my SO’s bike though would’ve needed a replacement wheel at (using VERY round numbers here) $50-100 for the upgrade. the swap wasn’t too bad to do really and I rated the “easy to install” down one star based on some headache regarding the axle length. this could have been my own fault by not measuring properly. in any case, it did work. no instructions or paperwork were included and I would base this on a typical bike repair shop purchasing this for the same purpose versus…. me. the kit did work as expected with the sole issue being the axle length came up about 5MM too long. I’ll need to do some creative trimming to make it proper. also, there was one more thing. the included dust shields for the bearings were preinstalled and one had a bit of a bend in it. not really a big issue for me.

It was an ok replacement. Part quality was not the best and ended up replacing parts to get a better fit.

Bought these to convert the front wheel of my e-scooter (Hiboy VE1 Pro) to have a quick release so I could easily store it in the back of my car. Installation was easy. The scooter had sealed bearings, so some parts were not needed. The axle slipped in nicely.One caveat was that the scooters spacings were slightly different than a bike’s so you’ll need to buy some washers and mess around with the spacings to get the stock disk brakes to play nicely, but overall not too bad.Would prefer it to be ~1 mm longer, but then again the scooter is not quite standard (compared to bikes) and it is still usable. No comment on durability for now, but no problems after 2 miles on rough countryside roads.No comment on the longer rear axle since I was not planning on changing the rear wheel.

I found this to be to spec, unfortunately my bearings are a different style. I went to remove the bearing mounts and realized that amidst the oily bearings that my fingers were being shredded to the point of bleeding, and when I went to remove the plastic cap opposite the lever, that it bent out of shape, and got stuck on the nut.I didn’t ask for a refund because I used the new levers and threaded bars, using the old bearing mount and caps.

I bought these to swap out solid axels and i needed to remove the dust cover. I tapped on the dust cover, missing a few times and nicking the cone. The cone should not be soft. To make sure i smacked the original cone to see if it would nick. It did not, no matter how hard I hit it. I used the old cones but I had no choice with the axle. Hopefully it doesnt kill someone.Update…in a pinch I installed one of the cones from this set on someone elses bike because the other ones i ordered were taking to long to arrive. It was on his bike for a few weeks and i wanted to change it out so there would be no issues. I work on a bike trail fixing bikes for people, he stopped to talk so i wiggled the rim to see how it was and it had play. I then removed wheel to check it out and the cone was very badly warn. I replaced it with a quality one. Thw bamboo kitchen axels are a good quality set. The alta although made in tiawan are also junk soft metal. Check yours by hitting with the corner of a cone wrench, if it puts any marks in the metal its complete trash. I use bookoo amounts of grease so it wasnt a lube problem they are just junk.
