The contactor seems to be well made and with good workmanship. The three lines opens and closes upon receiving the voltage and the action of the contactor can be visually verified by the center button. Each line is confirmed by multimeter with good contact once it’s closed and stays open completely when voltage is removed.

We’ve had a lot of brief 1-2 second power outages. My understanding is that is really bad for air conditioners because of the pressure spike that is created when the compressor stops and suddenly restarts.I’ll be using this contactor in conjunction with a battery backed computer to sense line voltage and not switch the HVAC contactor back on unless power has been stable for minimum 6 seconds. It will be some time before I’m able to actually test my system. But I wanted to put the info out there for all the folks in Texas suffering weather related outages that might want this now.
