I have 2 cats and 2 feeders because I live alone and travel a lot for work. I feed wet food when I am home and freeze dried pellets when I travel. I need something that reliably feeds my cats while I am gone. I prefer app based products for peace of mind. I like having that notification showing my cats were fed on time.The PETLIBRO replaced my PETKIT feeders that I have been using reliably for the past few years. I decided to upgrade because the units I have did not have a back up battery compartment. You need this option in case the power goes out, so your fur babies are still fed. The PETKIT mini feeders worked great and my only problem was the lack of customer support as it is a China based company.I had my selections narrowed down to PETKIT, PETLIBRO and FEEDER ROBOT. I ultimately chose PETLIBRO for a few reasons that are all listed in the pros below. I would still love to try the FEEDER ROBOT, but just can’t justify the price tag ($300/each). I will update my review after a few months, but here are my initial impressions.Pros:-Modern aesthetic design-US based company-Minimal packaging waste/primarily recyclable-Easy to unbox and assemble-Easy to download app and connect-5ghz Wi-Fi connection (this is currently the only 5ghz Wi-Fi feeder available)-Back up battery compartment (3 Ds not included)-Works with food up to 15mm dia-Appropriate size for small dog or cat-Dispenses my freeze dried pellets (Feline Natural) without problem/crushing-Simple user friendly app-Easy to set up and modify feeding plan-You can feed as many portions as many times a day as you will ever need-Ability to turn off a feeding without deleting the programmed time.-The food hopper is designed very well to limit obstruction.-Ability to add voice-Pretty quiet (cats still come running out of a dead sleep)-Decent price-Metal bowl-easy to clean-Easy to disassemble (haven’t tried cleaning it yet)-USB plug is nice for updated outlets that have USB ports-They do offer an insert with 2 bowls so you can feed 2 pets out of a single feeder instead of 1. I chose to buy 2 units because a lot of reviews stated the food was not split evenly across the 2 bowls.Cons:-Very lightweight plastic (can it be tipped over…maybe)-I am not convinced it’s airtight-The metal bowl just sits on top of the plastic piece and doesn’t snap into the plastic bowl holder. A cat could possibly pull the bowl out.-The bowl size/shape could be more cat friendly…the bowl should be wider to avoid whisker fatigue and elevated for feeding comfort-The cord is USB-c and attaches to the backside of the unit instead of the underneath so you can’t push the unit flush against the wall. This may increase the likelihood your cat could tip it over.-I keep getting errors that the food chute is blocked but it’s not and the food is still dispensed properly. If one of my cats puts their paw in or around the chute this triggers the error and if food is being dispensed it stops.-if you are feeding multiple portions it takes a bit of time for the food portions to be dispensed. The rotor is pretty slow, so if your cat sticks their paw in there during dispensing it will stop. When traveling this could be a problem. You’ll have no way of knowing if they got the entire portion.So far I am really happy with the device. I am giving 5 stars based on first impression, but will update after a few business trips. It was one of the easiest set ups of any device that I have encountered.

Okay so I have three cats that all need their own specific portions: 2 female kitties that could binge until they pop and a grazer male that has learned how to make the best of a feeding schedule.My kitties are conditioned to eat in separate areas of the house at 6 am and 6pm more or less. However, a new job for my partner and I has left us not being able to get home for their 6pm feedings on time.I had considered automatic feeders for awhile but as I have said, with 3 cats.. 3 feeders is expensive and I didn’t want to invest in anything ridiculously overpriced or something that wouldn’t work consistently.I did not need an app or any of that nonsense really. I already have cameras in my house so I didn’t need the extra gizmos and gadgets. I was specifically looking for: affordable, consistent portion control, something that can stand up to two very determined kitties and simplicity.PROS:You have the option to set up to 6 meals per day.Portion size works as follows: 1 portion is about 1/8 cup — this was consistent for the 10 times I tried it and will update if that changes.It deposits the food fairly timely..It is rather quiet, not a whole lot of whirring and noise, my cats were completely unbothered but mine think anything that gives them food is well worth any risk.It’s easy to set up. If you were born before the year 1980 then maybe not so much but I’m a millennial and this was not an issue at all. If you could work a Nokia, you can work this.It’s easy to take apart. There’s two eject buttons on either side of the main tank that allows you to pull it apart for cleaning.It can use batteries or wire adapter. I like this feature cause I’m not willing to buy a ten pack of D batteries every few months no thank you. I do like the idea that if the power goes out however, it won’t reset everything since it had battery reserve.It is KITTY PROOF – my little bean has been messing with this thing since getting it a few hours ago. Let me preface this with she is a small girl, 9lbs. Tiny but mighty and never lacking in the determination department. She is VERY familiar with puzzle bowls and to her this was no exception.. however, much to her dismay she has been unable to pry it apart. Thank GOODNESSYou can probably use other bowls for this if you slightly elevate the tank. Literally put a dictionary under it and slide a maze bowl underneath. TA da.CONS:There’s no extra gadgets like camera or WiFi app etc. so if that’s your thing this isn’t for you. Likewise, the voice recorder sucks. Don’t even bother. You may as well use a can tied to a string to get your message across.The user interface aka “the buttons” — this was annoying because it’s like setting an old digital alarm clock in that you have to cycle through ALL SIX FEEDING TIMES whether you’re using them or not to get to your clock/time whatever. This was mainly an issue for me while setting the time cause I accidentally set it to AM instead of PM, oops, silly me, that’ll be a quick fix— OH NVM I have to cycle allllll the way back through to switch that, if you click too fast then you gotta cycle again. How fun.This was the only reason I docked a star but past that, it’s fine.You can manually give 1 portion, I don’t think there’s a way to make it more than that, also it will still give their designated feeding portion even if you give a manual one so keep that in mind.I will continue experimenting with this and update if I find anything new or fun to talk about, enjoy the video of my kitty being very disappointed.

I bought this for two reasons: The first is that I work two jobs, so I can’t be at home at the same consistent times every day to feed my cat. The second is that I put my cat on a diet. This feeder lets you program up to six feeding times every day and you can set the number of “portions” for it to dole out. Each “portion” is about 1/12 of a cup, so for my cat I set up three feedings of 2 portions, spaced eight hours apart, that way my cat is eating the half cup per day that she should be eating, as well as having enough food at each meal that she eats her fill and then has some to snack on later and then is ready to eat at the next meal. This prevents her from overeating, although she does start to pester me in the last hour or so before meal times.

Le distributeur de croquettes PetLibro est un excellent ajout à notre quotidien ! Il est très facile à programmer, et l’application mobile permet de contrôler les repas de mon animal à distance, ce qui est extrêmement pratique. La capacité du réservoir est suffisante pour plusieurs jours, et le mécanisme de distribution fonctionne parfaitement sans se bloquer. La qualité de fabrication est solide, et le design est élégant et discret. En plus, il a aidé à réguler les portions et les horaires de repas de mon animal, ce qui est un vrai plus pour sa santé. Je recommande vivement ce produit !

Very Useful
It has a huge tank and it can function unattended for a very long time. If you have enough litter boxes at home, or have a cat that takes care of its business outside, you can be away from home for a couple of weeks without worrying about starving cats. While you’re at it, get a water fountain too. Your cats will love you for it.

It is a great pet feeder. You can either plug it in or use batteries. The light disturbed me at night but if you use the batteries and unplug the pet feeder there is no more light!The design is really pretty and discrete. I have not tried to put it in the dishwasher yet but it’s fairly easy to clean.Love it!
