My wife purchased this exact filtered pitcher a few years ago, and has worked out very well and lasted a long time. I recently had a small accident after cleaning it out and attempting to change the filter where the inner blue portion fell from the dish drain above my since and fell into the sink, cracking in a few spots. I did not notice the cracks right away and simply just rinsed it off and put the new filter in and began using it. When I noticed bubbles floating up and water dripped through and not passing through the filter, I realized there were some thing cracks that formed and it was time for a replacement. The original pitcher was at least 3-4 years old and I lost track because I bulk purchased filters during Covid because they became harder to find and I had a stash in the home for over a year (filters on average should be changed approx every 3-4 months, but I found the name brand would clog and stop working much sooner than the recommended gal/monthly change rate. I spotted an off brand supply that seemed to work longer, were cheaper and offered more filters in the case, so I stocked up!)I honestly cannot drink the water from my faucet as it has a terrible taste and smell, and I grew up in the late 80’s early 90’s drinking from the sink, the hose in the backyard and water fountains in school – for me not to drink the water in my home these days, there is definitely something wrong. PUR filters kill the smell and bad taste and make drinking water a pleasure again. For someone who has diabetes and high blood pressure, drinking enough water daily became a hard task until my wife purchased our first pitcher. Knowing that this product works, and allows me to enjoy the taste of water again, I made sure to replace the old with this new one, and bought more filters, too! LOL! Best part, I can re-purpose the lower section without the blue insert and still put other drinkable substances in there if needed (add fruit and water as an example or possibly home made iced tea) and still dispense it from the fridge. For those that rely on the TL;DR type reviews, it’s a great product, lasts long, works wonders in the filter department as well as easy to clean… just don’t attempt to dry and hang from a high place, if it falls it will get damaged… otherwise, worth the money and cheaper than buying bottled water at the store that tastes just as awful as my sink water.Hope this review was helpful!

I use this filter dispenser for coffee, tea, and cooking for my little daughter. The water taste is okay—not bad—but the filter’s lifespan is far too short. Although you claim it lasts for 2 months, it clogs completely after just 2 weeks of regular use! You might say I’m overusing it or that my tap water is poor quality, but no—that’s not the case. My Brita filter lasted much longer. The materials also feel fragile. I’ll continue using it until my six filters run out, but after that, I’ll switch back to Brita or try something else.

We drink a lot of water in this household, and the 30 water dispenser is crucial for us. I really like this Pur water dispenser. Our last one lasted over 10 years, and just developed a crack.I was happy to find this on Amazon at such a good price…in fact, it cost less now than it did ten years ago. It’s a slim design and it fits perfectly on the small counter next to our coffee machine. The water tastes fresh and clean and I couldn’t ask for anything more. I will purchase this again in 10 more years when this one goes if they are still being made. Highly recommended!

I used to have the competing Brita filter of the same style. That one had lasted me a few years before the button on the top for the filter replacement LED broke. That button was poorly designed and I also didn’t love how the lid didn’t seal the thing at all so carrying it from the sink to fridge was a tedious process and difficult to do without some water splashing out the sides. So after seeing this filter in a friend’s fridge, I thought I’d get one to replace my Brita. I liked that it had the replacement reminder LED integrated on the spout handle and it had a larger capacity as well. That’s where the good things I have to say end. The lid design is only marginally better than the Brita – carrying it was still a tedious task that always had some water spill out. The longer shape certainly makes this happen more easily b/c the water can shift so much.Fast forward exactly one year and the button started to malfunction: I thought the battery had died because it wouldn’t light up. So I held the button down for several seconds—as the manual instructs—to reset the light (this also resets the filter tracking which I didn’t like as a solution because now it would be off and basically useless for it’s only job for this filter since the filter had a couple months of use already). The light worked for a bit and then stopped again. Same process, same result. Whatever I figured I’d just keep track manually with the stickers they give you. But then not more than a couple weeks later, THE WHOLE SPOUT HANDLE SNAPPED RIGHT OFF! Now the thing is completely useless. Looking at the pieces and how they were connected, I can see how poorly designed it is. Very small hard plastic connection, so of course it broke easily.I ended up going to Walmart and getting the competing ZEROWATER fridge filter this time and after just a few days, I can absolutely recommend it over the Brita and the Pür filters! It comes with a water particulate tester that actually tells you in real time how the filter is performing (at least on the particle metric). Tested my tap water (128PPM) and then tested the filtered water (0PPM). The tester plugs into the spout so it can test the water at any time when you dispense it. So you know for sure when it’s time to replace when the PPM gets too high (apparently they recommended replacing at 6PPM). The ZEROWATER also quite a larger capacity despite being similar in size. And finally someone figured out how it design a chamber and lid that prevents the water from splashing out when you carry it!! 👏 I also am pleased to see the spout handle on the ZEROWATER utilizes a two-piece design that looks to me like it’ll be more durable.Bottom line: the Pür filter kinda sucks and my unit was a completell lemon! I don’t recommend it, but do recommend ZEROWATER over this thing for the reasons stated above. Advice from someone who’s now tried all three big players in this product segment.

Broke after 2 months of use..
The water started leaking after 2 months of use. It was good while it lasted but I was hoping it would last longer than 2 months.

😉 best filter
I had this brand filter in my other apartment but I movedcouldn’t installed directly from the tap in my other apartment, so I decided to buy that kind of filter, after reading some bad reviews I decided to buy another filter (popular) and I was disappointed, so I returned, so I got Pur and I am satisfied, it would take some time to filter but trust me, the water will taste good
