I have well water and use the PUR water pitcher. These are perfect and make’s it taste like I’m drinking spring water. Very refreshing. It filters very fast, definitely great value for the money and very easy to install. It lasts me about 3 months.

If the filter doesn’t let the water flow thru (after you soak them in water as directed), shake them until you hear the crystals shaking inside the filter. Then rinse them under cold water from the faucet. I have used these for years & while they are not as good as a water purifier, they are better than drinking water straight from the tap.

These water filters works great at taking out chemicals that we are trying to stay away from. We drink a lot of water and using these has help save us a lot of money and it taste great. They are so easy to install just soak in water then it screws right in. I have never one to leak as the fit is just right. The filter allows for fast clear water in minutes. I would definitely recommend this filter to anyone who wants to get rid of plastic bottles

We used to have a built-in water dispenser but on the latest refrigerator we purchased opted for only an ice maker as the dispenser was hard to keep clean and susceptible to mildew in the dispenser. We use the 30 Cup PUR dispenser and like the filtering the PUR provides. We will likely stick with this system unless we invest in a reverse osmosis system. The only thing I don’t like is that occasionally a filter comes so tightly packed that water will not filter at all. If you tap around the filter a bit you can get it to work but than you might get charcoal particulates in the upper water reservoir and I am not sure if or how much that affects the filtering. Still overall a solid choice for filtered drinking water.

Very good filters; they filter my tap water that is very contaminated (yellowing).I bought non-original since unfortunately the seller forget to dispatch my second order, and the color of the water remained the same.

I’ve been using Pur water pitchers for well over a decade after trying every other water purifier on the market. I find that Pur water filters delivers the best taste. It’s a quality product and a great value for the money. I live in an area with hard water and I’ve only had an issue with clogging two times, and it was at the end of the filter life.

I initially went the cheap route and bought an off-brand filter to save a few bucks. Mistake! The water still had a chemical taste after flushing it and using it for 2 months.I returned it and bought these PUR filters. HUGE difference in water quality and taste! No chemical taste and taste just as good as purified bottle water.

The “new” version of this filter (there are different spec. numbers) “clogs” very soon and then filters very slowly. The “old” version (sold until late 2023) included a lead-removal filter, which has now gone. (SEE UPDATE BELOW)This “new” version does not have “lead-removal”, but supposedly does a much better job at removing microplastics. In theory this is a good step forward (although a filter that removes BOTH lead and microplastics would be much better!) as microplastics are a major health hazard. But the filtration rate is greatly reduced after only a week or two, compared to the “old” version. (BUT, SEE UPDATE BELOW!)Very frustrating and very disappointing. Time to go look at Brita and other competitors.UPDATE 6-23-24:The “old one” (good one) is cat. # PPF951K1 (white top)… these are now BACK IN STOCK at Amazon! For a while, they disappeared and were only available through 3rd party vendors at ridiculous prices (3 to 4 times the Amazon price!)Also, it looks like the blurb on these has changed… The PUR description now notes that they reduce lead AND microplastics! Let’s hope they are as good as the old “old” ones. I just ordered some. The “new one” (does not filter lead) is cat. # CRF950A3 (blue top)… I’m still giving this (CRF950A3, blue top) a two * rating because of the slow filtration rate and lack of Pb-filter.

The smell and taste are t…….
After a week, the water began to smell rotten. Before that, I used regular filters of the same brand, and they are quite normal. I have a water quality tester, and it shows the same results as a regular filter. So why pay more? I could not drink this stinking water.
