I ordered two of these and have them in an outdoor cat house for a feral kitty. They are soft, warm, and kitty is using them at night. I like these bc I didn’t want to feel worried that an electric heating pad might cause a fire or overheat. Very good quality and very reasonably priced. I did not detect any smell at all when received. Lightweight and durable. I love that they are washable too. Definitely recommend! Check out the photo I posted.

Second one of these we’ve bought. 24 inch one is large enough for a 13lb cat, with room to stretch. Obviously this isn’t as warm as an electric blanket, but it’s plenty warm for my heat seeking cat during winter.

My senior cat loves her new blanket. At first, per usual she had her mis-trust. NOW, she will not sleep/nap anywhere but on her new blanket. Yes, it is not as warm a a heating pad/blanket. It does serve it’s purpose and warms up by my cats body heat. I like the fact it is not too bulky and fits nicely in her cat condo.

I totally love this self warming mat without the need of power source. It works best to put inside a bigger cardboard box to shield from cold air hitting from all sides outdoor. Keep away from rain outdoors.

I gave it a week or so before reviewing to see how they did. I have four cats. I keep cheap fleece throws on most of the places they like to sleep. I also have two heated beds but thought I would check this out before buying another two as the dominant cats hog them. (I only have the heated pads out when it gets cold at night). Anyway, while all four of the cats have sat on this bed occasionally, they have used it no more often than the fleece throws. My house has been in the sixties during this time, not cold enough to turn on the furnace but chilly. Like I said, it is a nice pad, but they just don’t seem to favor it over a cheap fleece throw that has been doubled over. So my thought would be spend the extra and get a real heated pad or save money and just buy some throws. Updating this review. While my cats don’t really like or dislike this blanket, I was offered a full refund because they didn’t. I did not feel right taking it so I didn’t because they described their product appropriately and did not misrepresent it. If I see anything else for the cats that I think they might like manufactured by this company, I will probably buy it as they appear to be quite reputable and stand behind their products.

Don’t waste your money like I did – better ones on the market
Purchased for my Bengal who loves to be warm. Had high hopes for this but sadly it doesn’t keep much warmth. Wouldn’t waste your money on this like I did. I’ve used electric pads and other blankets and this sadly isn’t great. Yes it’s soft and a good size, but in terms of heat, there isn’t much.
